Domaine de la Baronne

Early in the Fifties an aristocratic Dutch lady discovered a beautiful piece of land just outside Bluche, a small quiet village adjoining the much better known ski resort of Crans-Montana. Here she built the house of her dreams in 18 acres of private grounds with its own private access road.

Over the years many famous personalities from the worlds of arts, politics and film have enjoyed the chalet and its gorgeous views on the Matterhorn, the Weisshorn , the Mont Blanc and over the Rhone Valley.

The chalet is built in a traditional style with wonderful wooden floors reflecting the light from the open fires and candle light and complimenting the lovely fabrics and textiles used in the bedrooms and comfy living rooms.   The elegant dining room is rich in tapestries and decoration and makes a wonderful setting for recounting the daily skiing stories to fellow skiers.   Surrounded by south facing terraces (one with a Jacuzzi) the chalet is a real suntrap for the sun worshippers in the party.
