Apartment Curling

Situated close to the centre of Montana , all you need is either your skis or summer sandals and walking shoes and you are ready to experience all the many facilities available in this year-round resort. This really is a place the whole family can enjoy, from the championship golf courses, mountain biking (fast and exhilarating! you take your bikes up the mountain on the ski lifts which are open all year and then hurtle down the mountain),or follow the many marked trails, tennis, five swimming and boating lakes, water skiing, kayaking, and for the shopaholic a wide choice of shops. If you really want to summer ski there is the attractive skiing areas of the Plaine Morte glacier plateau.

Crans Montana ski area is extensive and suited to all levels of skiing with three lift stations in the resort to take you up to the sunny south facing slopes. There are plenty of mountain restaurants offering good food in spectacular locations. The ski slopes stretch from the high plateau up to the Plaine Morte Glacier at 3000 m. Directly beyond the edge of the forest the pistes are broad and open, ideal for beginners and deep-snow skiers. Advanced skiers will take the chairlift to La Toula to find a really challenging descent. Particularly popular are the broad carving pistes and the valley descent down the Piste Nationale, which, at 12 km, is the longest in the region.

In winter the golf courses become a paradise for cross-country skiers and hikers. In addition to classic cross-country ski trails, there is also an extra piste especially for skaters.

The apartment is well equipped and comfortable for a family stay; but if you don’t feel like cooking there is a wide range of cafés, family restaurants and fine dining to be found within a short walk of the building. Or, in summer BBQ on your private lawn, and relax in the fresh alpine air with stunning views up the valley to the snow capped peaks of the Rhone Glacier and south to the Dent Blanche and Wieshorn. The region is French speaking and very friendly.

In the evenings, the apartment has a state of the art High Definition wide screen television with English channels, DVD or Blue Ray. Alternatively, try your hand at the Casino or enjoy a film at the local cinema. Enjoy afternoon tea or breakfast at the Taillence.

A car isn’t really necessary, from the moment you leave your plane at Geneva and join the efficient Swiss train system direct from the airport to the town of Sierre, and then the mountain funicular up to Crans Montana, where the terminus is a few minutes walk from the apartment. For those with cars a drive in secure car park is provided in the basement of the building directly connected to the apartment. Transportation could not be easier, with frequent buses serving the twin villages of Crans and Montana. this is a destination and apartment where life is relaxed and easy!
