Deia is one of those special Mediterranean places where artists, writers and celebrities seek refuge. Its restaurants, boutiques, cafes and bars reflect the taste of this bohemian yet discerning clientèle.
The house, situated in a quiet cul-de-sac in the centre of the village and hidden from tourists and traffic yet only a few minutes' walk from anywhere in the village, is the perfect retreat for those who want to escape, be inconspicuous and avoid using a car. It is next door to the world-famous Hotel La Residencia.
A beautifully built finca with views over the village roofs to the mountains and the sea, it combines the best of the past with the luxury of the present. There is a large living area with open fireplace, dining area, and fully-equipped kitchen, as well as a separate sitting/TV room and a separate study. The villa with its two master bedrooms and twin room is ideal for one family (plus newly added private wing for friends/granny) or two families with young children.
The pretty lit garden and pool, with loggia, pergolas and fruit trees, is a haven of tranquillity and coolness. There are various places to enjoy al fresco dining; the loggia overlooking the central courtyard is ideal for breakfast, the pool area is great for lunch in the shade of the pergola, and the privacy of the garden. The wisteria-covered pergola on the front terrace is perfect for evening drinks or dinner whilst enjoying the wonderful views of Deia village, the sea and the sunsets.
