Zingoni
The extended vine covered pergola on the stone pavement in front of the property is the perfect venue for long lunches after a morning by the infinity pool where there is yet another pergola as well as changing room and fridge for keeping one's wine chilled! Zingoni, like Palazzolaccio next door, commands a fabulous position in the Val d'Orcia and the same owner/interior designer has created another masterpiece of style combining rustic charm with interior chic. Beyond the pool there is a shaded picnic area which, typically, is equally simple yet chic.
Inside, the country style kitchen is quite small but superbly equipped with large stone counter top, American fridge, separate freezer and everything required for aficionados of cooking. There is even a vegetable and flower garden with delicious fresh produce from which to create a sumptuous al fresco lunch.
Throughout Zingoni, there are gorgeous
old cotta tiles and wooden beams and
original features such as the stone
fireplace in the living room. Colourful
fabrics and a clever mix of old and
contemporary furnishings create a
fabulously warm home.
