The Bishops House 

The villa is situated at the end of a quiet alleyway, perched on top of a rocky ridge with panoramic views over the town and beyond to Li Galli islands.

Built in 1716 by renowned craftsmen, it is full of beautiful laquered doors, frescoed ceilings and the most amazing collection of antique furniture. Owned today by a fashion designer and an antique collector, the house is very professionally run with huge attention to detail incorporating a marvellous blend of wonderful Italian antiques, modern technology and excellent service.

Two master suites on either side of the impressive staircase have private sitting rooms and every comfort. One of them has an alcove with an altar and both have wonderful bathrooms with majolica tiles and marble sinks.

The two top floor rooms are smaller and share a bathroom although a third bathroom is available on a lower landing.

There is a marvellous sitting room and library, a formal dining room, a most amazing kitchen and a fabulous outdoor terrace with sofas and chairs overlooking one of the world’s most beautiful backdrops.

The lower floor is a beautifully decorated, fabulously atmospheric spa area with heated pool, hydro massage, sauna, Turkish bath, massage room and relaxation area with plasma screen.  There is also an outside terrace with sun beds and heated plunge pool with hydro therapy, Jacuzzi seats, jets for cervical and lumbar massage and rotating currents.

A professional team of staff looks after the house and includes a chef. This house requires a cash float of €3000 on arrival which will be used by the chef for your shopping requirements.
