La Maison des Champs

A real find for us, this lovely house has been completely renovated by a family with young children thus making it extremely child friendly. Set in one acre of enclosed garden with a walled swimming pool and child proof gate, it is a really good holiday house with loads to do and see. The nearest village is a 5 minute walk and the beaches an easy 15 minute drive. This area of France is little known in the UK but is absolutely wonderful with masses of activities, some truly great food, fabulous restaurants, lots of local markets, and you can even pop down to Spain for an evening of tapas.

Very contemporary in design and décor, the house is open plan and arranged over two floors. The main living area has a large seating area and a fireplace protected by a glass screen. There are two further mezzanine areas, a pool and snooker room, a home cinema, a second TV room (which also doubles as a 7th bedroom, suitable for sleeping an additional teenager or nanny or can be used as a treatment room)and a playroom with toys and table football. The kitchen is very well equipped with a large Gaggenau Fridge and Freezer with ice machine, induction hob, oven and steam oven and there is a separate laundry room. A covered seating area leads off the kitchen. The main table sits 12 and an outside dining table seats 12.

The house is well equipped with cots, change tables and high chairs.

The large pool has a shallow beach end and is gated and surrounded by a sunbathing terrace with sunbeds and a covered lounge area next to the summer kitchen.

The house is on the edge of a village with an easy 5 minute walk to buy bread and croissants for breakfast. There is a village café and the nearest supermarket is a 10 minute drive.
