Mas du Figuier

5 twisting kilometres from St Remy to the heart of the Alpilles mountains takes you to another world. A stone’s throw from the Camargue and the sea, with light cool breezes and bright light. On the steep plateau of Les Baux is the spectacular village of Les Baux de Provence.

Le Figuier is a beautiful 450Sq.m stone mas surrounded by the Alpilles and looking across to the Château of Les Baux de Provence. At night the floodlit village makes a stunning backdrop while eating dinner on the ground floor terrace, which can seat 12-14 for dinner or lunch.

Surrounded by the owner’s family vineyards (the vineyard label showing the original Mas was painted by Van Gogh), you are truly in Provence with specially planted, scented flower beds and rolling lawns. The house has warm terracotta tiled floors and wood beamed ceilings throughout – being the home of the owner for most of the year the house is comfortably furnished with an eclectic mix of art and furnishings.
