A lovely, contemporary house perched on the hills with stunning views over the bay of Olmeto. Clean, simple lines are the trademark of this beach house built for holidays with family and friends.
Set into a hill and on two levels, the spacious main floor houses the master bedroom and open plan kitchen with indoor dining. A separate pavilion across from the kitchen houses the sitting room and TV. Furnished with simple white sofas and bright cushions, and the ubiquitous portrait of Napoleon! The room also has two high powered telescopes for watching the super yachts that regularly moor in the bay below.
The other bedrooms are all on the lower ground floor and are simply furnished with pretty, en suite, Italian mosaic shower rooms All have French windows opening onto a teak walkway with access to the upper levels and pool. The 5th bedroom here is a double with ensuite shower room and only accessible from outside.
The house is fronted by a large wooden deck with "ship style" railings and a small pool. This area is furnished for outdoor living with sunbeds and an outside sitting and dining area.
The house is conveniently situated for shops and restaurants. The beach is quite literally down the path and the marinas of Porto Pol or Propriano ( both within 10 mins drive), have boat hire facilities, diving schools and water sports as well a large choice of restaurants, bars and shops.
This is a perfect house for those wishing to enjoy the pleasures of Corsican living. It is on the quieter side of the island and the beaches remain unusually quiet even during the peak summer weeks. With the scent of the maquis drifting up, the fabulous views out over the Mediterranean and a glass of rosé in hand this is laid back Corsican living at its best.
