Island of the gods and blessed by nature, Bali is a wonderful holiday destination for all ages.

A surfers’ paradise with lots of other water sports available, there are also several good golf courses but play early to avoid the heat. The island is visually stunning with beautiful people and loads to see from temples and art galleries to brilliant emerald rice fields, kite flying and wonderful religious processions. There is a great choice of good restaurants and sophisticated nightlife such as the uber trendy Ku De Ta, the Legian Club in Seminyak and sunset-watching and cocktails on the beach of the fabulous Four Seasons Hotel.  However, remember to keep away from tacky Kuta. Houses range from sleek contemporary architecture to traditional Balinese design - often a series of small buildings linked by covered walkways and always fully-staffed. Service in Asia is second to none and once experienced, difficult to match elsewhere.

The best time to go is from June until the end of September although this is a year-round destination with short bursts of tropical showers more predominant from December to February.
